Hi,

We have a DELL server with RAID controller. We are not able to make individual disk seen from OS, we don't want any RAID, we just want to present the 10 drives as it to the OS, we need this to setup hadoop environment.

Thanks
GB

That is a question to DELL support. What the hardware RAID controller shows to OS is up to the controller.

If memory serves right:
Enter the RAID card BIOS setup (either through the server BIOS or by crtl+R) and set all disks to "non-raid".

The RAID controller still controls the disks, even if you don't have any RAID set up. You will need to create multiple volumes using the RAID controller's setup. One volume = one hard disk.
