virtual disk becoming unmounted

Hello everyone, I am running CentOS 7 and have VMWare virtual disk presented to my server. I formatted the disk with ext4 and mounted them. Now, when I run an IO intensive operation, the virtual disk becoming unmounted by themselves. When I go in and re-mount them, all is well again.

1. Has anyone seen the same behavior?

2. What should I be looking for that would clue me in on what is going on?

I'm try to schedule some time with the VM admin to see if we can review his logs.
