b120i RAID broken in 3.10.0-229.1.2.el7

Post by Tmorfus » 2015/04/02 15:09:52

From kernel v 3.10.0-229.1.2.el7, hpvsa.ko stop working.
even new module from kmod-hpvsa-1.2.12-110.rhel7u0.x86_64.rpm (30-mar-2015)
Any idea? Or wait for HP?

How to diagnose:

echo /lib/modules/3.10.0-123.el7.x86_64/extra/hpvsa/hpvsa.ko | /sbin/weak-modules --verbose --dry-run --add-modules

Module hpvsa.ko from kernel 3.10.0-123.el7.x86_64 is compatible with kernel 3.10.0-123.20.1.el7.x86_64
mkdir -p /lib/modules/3.10.0-123.20.1.el7.x86_64/weak-updates/hpvsa
ln -sf /lib/modules/3.10.0-123.el7.x86_64/extra/hpvsa/hpvsa.ko /lib/modules/3.10.0-123.20.1.el7.x86_64/weak-updates/hpvsa/hpvsa.ko
Module hpvsa.ko from kernel 3.10.0-123.el7.x86_64 is not compatible with kernel 3.10.0-229.1.2.el7.x86_64 in symbols: scsi_host_put scsi_device_put scsi_add_device scsi_adjust_queue_depth scsi_add_host_with_dma scsi_scan_host scsi_dma_map scsi_cmd_get_serial scsi_remove_device scsi_host_alloc scsi_remove_host scsi_device_lookup scsi_dma_unmap
/sbin/depmod -ae -F /boot/System.map-3.10.0-123.20.1.el7.x86_64 3.10.0-123.20.1.el7.x86_64
/sbin/depmod -ae -F /boot/System.map-3.10.0-123.el7.x86_64 3.10.0-123.el7.x86_64

Same problem here. I can only use the older kernel. Time to use ahci mode?

Fixed.
HP provided driver for 7.1
kmod-hpvsa-1.2.12-112.rhel7u1.x86_64.rpm (6 apr)
