USB Problem

Post by may24 » 2015/02/24 07:30:49

Hi all,

this morning I realized that my USB-2 drive was very slow. A quick 'messages' check revealed:

Code: Select all

...
Feb 24 06:29:15 server kernel: usb 8-2: reset full-speed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd
Feb 24 06:29:15 server kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:05:00.0: xHCI xhci_drop_endpoint called with disabled ep ffff880036a2ecc0
Feb 24 06:29:15 server kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:05:00.0: xHCI xhci_drop_endpoint called with disabled ep ffff880036a2ec80
...
I did a "hard reset" (unplug and replug the device) and it returned back to normal speed.
Currently I'm running: "Linux server 3.10.0-123.20.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu Jan 29 18:05:33 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux"

The Arch Linux Board reported a similar bug some time ago.
Could that be the same issue here ?
