[Samba] ComputerSecureChannel -Verbose False since windows 10/11 update 07/2023
With respect to the above issue, do you know if Centos7 will be releasing an update to the package. There is a huge threag on the Samba mailing list, https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2 ... 45765.html. The patch in https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15418#c25 applies if the line numbers are adjusted. I could then compile it using the Centos git sources if I removed the BuildRequires of libcmocka-devel

RH has its own update schedule and doesn't follow subversions necessarily. it's an enterprise distro that backports patches, keep your yum update and be happy

This is a massive issue for a lot of people. Since Tuesday last week a lot of people have not been able to log onto domains. RedHat's compilation of Samba prevents it from being used as an AD DC, but it still can be used as an NT4 Domain Controller and is used as such.
Re: [Samba] ComputerSecureChannel -Verbose False since windows 10/11 update 07/2023
CentOS does not fix anything. It just rebuilds what goes into RHEL 7. If it doesn't exist as an issue on bugzilla.redhat.com already then Red Hat will not know and will not fix it. Search bugzilla, see if you can find a bz that matches and read that and see if there is a solution. If there isn't a bz then raise one. Or better, find someone with a Red Hat account that let's them report a case.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Also, I read this https://lists.samba.org/archive/cifs-pr ... 04010.html from a Microsoft person as admitting they broke it and will be fixing it.
