Hello all,
I have a CentOS 7 desktop that I am allowing my office users to access from Windows 10 using MS remote desktop connection. I have 17 staff connecting to the CentOS box at all times. Just recently one of my stall is having issues with setting his power setting. His remote connection keeps locking after 5 minutes. He cannot set any desktop setting. No power settings, purging files, desktop background, nothing.
I am at a loss as the other 16 individuals have no issues.
I looked through several forums and the internet and could not find a similar issue using the gnome desktop.
Any help would be appricated.
Thank you.
Mark
Standard user cannot adjust anysetting on his desktop
Re: Standard user cannot adjust anysetting on his desktop
try to see if they have the same privileges, belong to the same groups
look at directories ownerships and permissions

Hi BShT,
Thank you for the assistance.
The users settings - directories, files, home, are the same as all other users. I even checked SELinux and all his settings are the same as the others. He belongs to the same group as all others.
I even removed his account and created a new one for him but still the same issue.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks.
Mark
