Greetings,
Download CentOS-7-i386-Everything-2009.iso, install system 3.10.0-1160.2.2.el7.centos.plus.i686,
complete GNOME version 3.28.2 with firefox.i686 0:68.10.0-1.el7.centos
System run ok, plug in usb modem, found it, connection and firefox is working ok.
yum update on firefox.i686 0:91.2.0-4.el7.centos, update successful
Open updated firefox, unfortunately the system crash, scroll lock flashing off-on-off-on.
If update all system, the result is the same, open firefox and the system crash. Other software run ok, until to open firefox...
Can anything be wrong?
Thanks in advance.
Updating Firefox
Re: Updating Firefox
Blinking scroll lock indicates a kernel panic. My first suspect is the graphics driver. What graphics card and drivers are you using? Any warning or error messages in the system or X server log files?
Re: Updating Firefox
Don't know about i686, but firefox-91.3.0-1.el7.centos.x86_64 was released yesterday.
Re: Updating Firefox
Yes, that is.
Xorg.log no any error, warnig: Falling back to old probe method for modesetting | Falling back to old probe method for fbdev
Update firefox-91.3.0-1.el7.centos.i686 ...same result.
BTW /sys/fs/pstore/ is empty, no file about it.
