Setting "focus-follows-mouse" in CentOS-7

Post by fermiproxy » 2021/10/25 18:05:46

I could not find any place under "Applications --> System Tools --> Settings" to set windows behavior under mouse; specifically focus follows mouse.

Even though I am running GNOME, I found a tool under: "Applications --> Other --> KDE System Settings --> Window Behavior -> Window Behavior --> Focus --> Focus Follows Mouse". Perhaps not surprisingly, this had no effect on my window behavior.

I need a tool to do the same under GNOME. If there is one, I'd appreciate if you tell me how to find it.

Thank you.

yum install gnome-tweak-tools then follow https://askubuntu.com/questions/978401/ ... th-gnome-3
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

The suggested installation failed in an unexpected manner copied and pasted below:

yum install gnome-tweak-tools
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, langpacks
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
* base: mirror.sfo12.us.leaseweb.net
* extras: mirrors.xtom.com
* updates: mirrors.ocf.berkeley.edu
No package gnome-tweak-tools available.
Error: Nothing to do

I must have done something wrong, but I have no idea what that is.

Sorry, it's gnome-tweak-tool not tools.
