latest libexif contains vulnerability

Post by brond » 2021/02/25 16:43:25

Sorry if this isn't the correct place to post this "request", but my run of a security scan is showing libexif-0.6.22-1 as containing a flaw CVE-2020-0452 with a fix available in 0.6.22-2 (see https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:5402). Where is the best place to request this newer version be added to the CentOS 7 repo (I point at http://mirror.centos.org/centos/7/os/x86_64/Packages)?

The update was missed and is being built already but I just checked and it still hasn't been published. Should be along very soon though.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
