Hi, anybody else also have problems with epel repository? I installed it on 2 totally different vps and on both it fail after installation. When I try to install anything I get :
One of the configured repositories failed (Unknown),
and yum doesn't have enough cached data to continue. At this point the only
safe thing yum can do is fail. There are a few ways to work "fix" this:
and after I remove epel it works, but I can't install packages that are in epel.
Anybody else can confirm same problems?
Epel repo failed
Re: Epel repo failed
How did you install it?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Re: Epel repo failed
yum -y install epel-release
on first vps using proxy helped, but on second one still the same.

Re: Epel repo failed
THis happened to me a few days ago, then today it was able to see the repo. Might have been a DNS issue when checking the repo. Try again and see if it fixed itself.
