xterm -xrm '*iconPixmap: Example.xpm'

Dear All,
I used to substitute the old X11 xtem icon with an own *.xpm file (ASCII, 256x256). Since upgrading to CentOS 7 and probably Xorg's version
of X11 and associated window managers which comes with it, each window title bar is much wider and apparently does not support
the -xrm command anymore, although not reporting any errors. I have not yet made any use of the option iconHint.
Has anyone had the same experience or is able to provide any assistance?
Kind Regards
Stefan
