Clone volume or directory

Post by Riccardo1987 » 2020/01/22 11:58:25

Hi,
I would like to sync the volume or some directory of Centos 7.x on another Server Centos 7.x.
I would like this sync to "block disk" in real time. Are there any solutions?
I tought about implementing cluster solutions but is way to articulated because I should deploy "stoonith" and external storage, ecc.
I'm looking for something easier.

Best regards

Riccardo

Sorry but "cluster" and "easier" in one sentence doesn't make sense :)

If you're just looking at block replication between different nodes, DRBD is really good.
Elrepo provides both the needed kmod (kernel module) and userland tools to install it flawlessly on CentOS (all versions)

Hi arrfab,
thank you for this solution.
Is possible to use DRDB without CENTOS Cluster?

Yes (whatever CentOS cluster is).
