When will rh-nodejs12 be added?

Post by kbradl16 » 2020/01/06 15:03:56

When and how often are Node centos mirror images added? When will rh-nodejs12 be added?

I'm looking at these 2 urls and do not see Nodejs 12

Packages like that are built by the SCL SIG not by CentOS itself. The SIGs all have regular meetings in #centos-devel on freenode IRC but I would suspect that the Christmas holiday has affected all rebuilds as the entirety of Red Hat shut down for about 10 days.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

I'm not super familiar with SCL SIG, what do these stand for?
I'm also not familiar with "#cetos-devel on freenode IRC", do you have a link?

Also I see this: https://github.com/sclorg/s2i-nodejs-co ... /master/12 and assumed that centos7 would have the NodeJS 12 image. Do you know the correlation between that repo and the mirror images? Or is there no correlation?

Cool deal, thanks. So it seems Nodejs 12 SCL is in candidate status? Whats the process for the candidate status to become available on main mirror? I see the jenkins passing for the candidate https://ci.centos.org/job/SCLo-pkg-rh-n ... te-x86_64/
