xmgrace Broken or incomplete installation - read the FAQ

Post by centguy » 2019/09/23 02:06:16

With the latest yum update,

I hit this:

Code: Select all

$ uname -a
Linux centos73-mell 3.10.0-1062.1.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri Sep 13 22:55:44 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
$ xmgrace
--> Broken or incomplete installation - read the FAQ!
$ rpm -qva | grep grace
grace-5.1.23-4.el7.x86_64
This seems to have been fixed in Fedora

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1502175

but it is not fixed in the CentOS 7.

I would suggest reporting this on bugzilla.redhat.com in the Fedora EPEL section. Grace is from EPEL and all that discussion needs to apply to the EPEL copy.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
