Bluetooth file transfers from smart phone

Using CentOS 7.7 / GNOME, all proper software for bluetooth support appears to be installed. Smart phone (MOTO E) is detected, I am able to send files from my computer to the phone, but cannot send files from the phone to the computer. Phone works fine as WIFI hotspot, bluetooth tethering works as well. Used bluetoothctl to set phone as trusted, still file transfers work one way only. File transfers work both ways on Debian installed on the same computer. Anyone have any ideas?
