Postfix and MariaDB support

Post by moonpup » 2017/08/16 20:45:13

Does the version of Postfix in the base repo have support for MariaDB or do I need to grab the version from the CentOS Plus repos? Is there a way to tell what's supported in the base version?

Thanks!

Base version has mysql/mariadb support. You can tell by running postconf -m

Thanks for the quick reply Trevor! I was reading a guide provided by linode.com for setting up Postfix and virtual users and the guide stated you needed to get the Postfix version from the CentOS Plus repos. Guess the guide needs updating :D

Thanks again!

Redhat enabled mysql support in the RHEL6 version of postfix about mid-way through its life. It's been enabled there for a number of years and has always been enabled in el7.
