Where did you get vlc from? It's not part of CentOS so you must have used a third party repo to install it. Which one? If it was nux-dextop then it hasn't been maintained for about 2 years now and the copy of vlc there is ancient and did not contain opus support last time I looked. There's a newer copy of vlc in rpmfusion-free-updates but that repo is incompatible with nux so you will need to work out what else you have installed from nux and see if they also provide it.
i got it from yum. As you said install from rpmfusion, i installed but it still shows this error while installing rpms : "/sbin/ldconfig: /lib64/libmatroska.so.6 is not a symbolic link". and audio for mkv is not playing. Finally i removed old vlc 2.2.15 .... and run new vlc installed by rpmfusion and it played. Thanks alot for suggestion for rpmfusion repo.
