Installation of gfortran

I tried to install gfortran using yum install gcc-gfortran. It said the mirror site: http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=7 ... infa=stock, had error 14 and curl 6, " Could not resolve mirrorlist.centos.org unknown error. Anyone...

You have an underlying network problem. Either your DNS resolution is not functioning or your route to the outside world is not. Check the contents of /etc/resolv.conf and see if you can ping any nameservers listed in there by ip address. Can you reach Google's dns server on 8.8.8.8?
CentOS 8 died a premature death at the end of 2021 - migrate to Rocky/Alma/OEL/Springdale ASAP.

CentOS 5 and 6 are dead, do not use them.
