When I reboot my system it stalls (see pics at links).
I recently did a yum update, which completed normally.
When in the rescue kernel, I did notice that /boot was 100% full; I've been keeping 3 kernels.
So, I performed (I have yum-utils installed): 'cleanup-package --oldkernels --count=2', which dropped /boot to 63%, but I still cannot get through the boot sequence. I also noticed that the kernels that appear in the menu are not all available in /boot and I get an error if I pick some of them to boot from. I ran grub2-mkconfig -o/boot/grub2/grub.cfg but this did not resolve that issue.
It seems to get stuck -- but not in the same place each time.
I thought a recent install of Maldet was causing the issue -- but I have uninstalled it and it has not fixed the issue.
I disabled Docker:
sudo systemctl disable docker.service
sudo systemctl disable containerd.service
But still no good.
I'd appreciate some guidance.
thanks!

Re: System Stalls at Boot Up
Did you try the older kernel?

Re: System Stalls at Boot Up
How long did you wait for the boot to complete?
Re: System Stalls at Boot Up
Whoever: I waited about an hour. I uninstalled maldet but that did not fix the problem.
TrevorH: Yes, I tried the other kernels -- same result. However, after running 'cleanup-package --oldkernels --count=2' once more the kernels that appear in the menu during boot time are not all available in /boot and I get an error if I pick some of them to boot from. I ran grub2-mkconfig -o/boot/grub2/grub.cfg but this did not resolve that issue.

Boot Drive Filled Up and Now Boot Sequence Hangs
My /boot got totally full --> 100%. And now the boot sequence hangs.
I checked the yum history and it had trouble completing some kernel updates because of the full space. And grubby had some problems creating grub.cfg.
I've reduced the space by:'cleanup-package --oldkernels --count=2', which dropped /boot to 63%, but I still cannot get through the boot sequence.
How to fix? I can get into rescue mode and get the ethernet up. Should yum update the kernel?

Please don't make duplicate threads. I have merged the new one into the existing one.
