Disable NETBIOS, LLMNR and NTLM authentication in CentOS7

Post by johnson.ng » 2023/04/28 09:15:17

Hi Community,

I am being tasked to harden my production servers.
For Windows servers, I have no issues disabling NETBIOS, LLMNR and NTLM authentication.

I have tried to googled for answers but I can only find articles relating to Ubuntu and RHEL.
I am not well versed in CentOS. Appreciate if the community can guide me on how to disable the above please.

Thank you very much.

CentOS 7 is a rebuild/clone of RHEL 7.
And I'm sure you know that CentOS 7 is EOL next summer.

Pretty sure you only need to worry about those if you are running samba.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
