Hi,
From where do we download the Centos 7 ISO with latest kernel ?
Actually I am facing issue as below:
I upgrade to kernel 5 from Kernel 3 and my oracle virtual box stops working.
kernel upgrade does not upgrade kernel-devel which stays at ver 3 which effects virtualbox.
Centos 7 ISO with latest kernel
Re: Centos 7 ISO with latest kernel
The latest kernel for CentOS 7 is kernel-3.10.0-1160.81.1.el7.x86_64.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Re: Centos 7 ISO with latest kernel
first you need to understand what an enterprise distro is and know that you don't upgrade the kernel, ssl and some other critical packages, who does it is the maintainer.
Critical security flaws are patched by the maintainer even in older kernels.
if you need a new kernel feature, use another distro.
if you need to download Centos 7.9 with kernel 3.10, then
http://isoredirect.centos.org/centos/7/isos/x86_64/
and yum update after install to get the latest updates
if you need a newer enterprise distro to use a newer kernel version DO NOT use Centos Stream
you can use Oracle Linux 8 with unbreakable kernel 5.4 or
any RHEL9 clone like Oracle Linux 9, Alma Linux 9, Rocky Linux 9 with 5.14 kernel
