Hi
I know CentOS 6 is EOL, however, I have a client who need to upgrade Centos 6 to 7.
Is there a way to do an in-place upgrade of CentOS 6 to 7 as we will then migrate the Centos 7 servers into Azure?
best wishes

Upgrading to Centos7
Re: Upgrading to Centos7
Sorry, there is no upgrade from one CentOS version to another. You may fiond numerous articles on the internet telling you that there is but there isn't and attempts at doing so usually fail, usually badly to the point of not booting up or not allowing logins. I would suggest not even trying.
In any case, I am not sure that CentOS 7 is the best thing to move to as it has less than 2 years of life left.

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
