Post by raedkz » 2022/06/26 11:36:10

I have ACER RYZEN 5000 series, i tried to install Centos7 as dual boot sys but unfortunately i got the following error msg:

Detected CPU family 19h model 80
Warning: AMD Processor - this hardware has not undergone upstream testing.

how it could be solved? How i can install centos7 as dual boot with windows11?

That is not an error that stops the installation. It throws that out and then carries on.

Try appending iommu=pt to the kernel command line. Make sure you are using the latest install media - 7.9.2009 is the only one that is likely to work.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
