booting without kernel modules

Post by Moe » 2022/05/09 16:28:23

I installed an HBA driver kernel module that's causing a panic upon booting

I tried booting in single, same thing

Is there a parameter in grub to allow of system to boot without loading the modules ?

Thanks

Edit the kernel command line at the grub menu, append rd.driver.blacklist=X to the end of the line that starts with either linux16 or linuxefi - where X is the name of the module you want not to load.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
