I have a CentOS 7 Live key, as well as a Fedora 35 key. I want to install clamav, ntfs-3g and a couple other things on the keys. Is this some how possible. If I (albeit slowly) install repo's and then programs, do they install to the key - or just to the running memory image? If so, is there no way to get the installations to the USB keys?
The intended purpose of the keys is actually to trouble-shoot infected Windows machines for a friend or two. One friend used to run Windows on a dual boot (CentOS) machine so it was easy, but the machine died and he now has a new laptop with no dual-boot.
Thank you.

Re: USB key "LIVE" question(s)
Last time I looked, many AV vendors supplied a downloadable iso image, all ready prepped and ready to go. IIRC the one I used was Kaspersky and you download it, burn it, boot it and it updates itself and is ready to go.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
