/bin/bash was changed to /bin/bash_mv

Post by penzhan8451 » 2021/11/26 03:17:33

Hello,

I think I made a mistake to do the following:

1. I found some bash commands consume cpu 100%, so I changed the "/bin/bash" to "/bin/bash_mv"
2. I re-link the /bin/sh to /bin/bash_mv

After that, I logged off the machine, but can't log in anymore with password required, whatever the password is correct or not.

How can I change back from the "/bin/bash_mv" to "/bin/bash" to recover the command?

Thanks you very much!

Boot in rescue mode from the install media and then rename it back.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
