CentOS 7 stuck at boot, cannot find centos/root
CentOS 7 stuck at boot, cannot find centos/root
I have a very weird and specific problem I have a centOS 7 server that works just fine, and boots from a mdadm + lvm volume. When I plug a 120 jbod using a HBA card, the system gets stuck at boot. The mdadm systemd service works fine, generating the proper units, but the lvm service gets timed out, leaving the error message "Cannot find /dev/centos/root", and redirects me to the emergency prompt. In the emergency prompt I can run "lvm_scan" and detect and mounts centos/root just fine. I read several posts about similar lvm problems, and the recommendations of running dracut/reinstalling grub did not work. To make it even more confusing, the machine was booting with this jbod plugged just fine, these problems arose after removing the JBOD temporally to repair damaged parts. I'm terribly lost, so any tip is welcome. Thanks in advance

Post the contents of your /etc/fstab plus the contents of /proc/cmdline.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
