Hi
Can you please let me know how to
Upgrade to Apache Tomcat version 8.5.32 or later.
Current version is 8.5.30.0.
CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009
I did update yum and tomcat using below commands but the version is still 8.5.30.0.
yum update
yum install java-1.8.0-openjdk tomcat
Thanks
Upgrade to Apache Tomcat version 8.5.30.0 to 8.5.32 or later
Re: Upgrade to Apache Tomcat version 8.5.30.0 to 8.5.32 or later
We don't ship tomcat 8.anything. The only copies of tomcat I see in the CentOS repos for 7 are 7.0.76-16.el7_9.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Thank you for your reply.
The reason for upgrade is it showing as vulnerability in Nessus scan and we need to upgrade.
Can you please let me know if I need to upgrade centos7 to centos 8 and then run yum update.
Thank you

The problem is that we do not ship tomcat 8.anything in CentOS 7. The version we supply on CentOS 7 is
So the version you have now that nessus is complaining about did not come from CentOS. You need to work out where it did come from and then go there and find out if there are updates for it.
Code: Select all
tomcat.noarch 7.0.76-16.el7_9 updates
