Yum saying system must be registered after 7.8 update

Post by cptgunther » 2020/05/14 20:01:18

I just ran a yum update on my Centos 7 server, now when I tried installing a new package I get a error saying 'This system is not registered with an entitlement server. You can use subscription-manager to register' Did something get missed from the upstream update, because this is something I would expect from a RHEL 7 install, not Cedntos 7.

If you run yum remove subscription-manager does the list of packages it tells you about include anything you will miss? If not then remove it.
