Mouse doesn't work on LiveGnome

Post by aussie » 2020/04/28 09:41:25

Hello,

I was having problems installing Centos 7.7 on my laptop. The install went fine but wasn't able to login, so I thought before trying to install 7.8 on the laptop I would give LiveGnome 7.8 a try.

Upon booting sometimes it hangs and sometime it comes up in Gnome. The times it comes up in Gnome the mouse doesn't work. The lock LED is flashing on the keyboard, I don't know if this has something to do with the mouse not working. Also there is a message that a problem was detected in a kernel module. The times I got a hang I thought may be due to read errors on the dvd, so I did a burn of another dvd. I got the same result, sometimes it hangs sometimes it comes up in Gnome. I use a wireless mouse on the laptop and I thought that may be the problem, so I tried a corded mouse and it doesn't work either.

I tried LiveGnome on my newly built AMD computer and everything works as expected.

My laptop has an i7 cpu with 12GB of memory. It has run Centos 6 for years and runs Windows 10 fine.
This link has the specs:

Any suggestions?
