Trying to install CentOS 7 and i get prompted to enter "localhost login" (for which I enter my user name), then Password (enter my password), then a prompt: [justin@localhost ~]$. Anyone know what to do from here? Thank you in advance!

Welcome to linux. That is what you get if you do a minimal install (the default). It's a command line only login. If you wanted a GUI then you chose the wrong install type - hit the Software Selection button in the install and pick a different type.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
