Differing explanations in update manager

When updating using yum update I notice that some packages are shewn as “will be updated” while others are shewn as “will be an update”. What is the difference please?

You'll notice the old “will be updated” will be what's being updated, and the new "will be an update” will be the actual update that replaces it.
