I have too many centos 7 servers. we monitor them with a monitoring program. sometimes we receive the following alarms from across servers. what could be the problem. where can I check them on the server? the problem corrects itself after 15 minutes or 30 minutes. repeats after a certain time. servers in different zones but the alarms are the same
1- Error connecting to 10.1.1.1 ip device with ssh
2- Device Access Problem
3- Problem accessing Domain Name device detected.
os problem
Re: os problem
it is normal to receive some warning
i have nagios and zabbix here and events from ping and load are normal
we know nothing about your environment nor about your monitoring software and how it is configured...

Re: os problem
seems to be a network issue
we use here a VLAN for backup and monitoring, no conflicts with regular traffic

Re: os problem
ı run this command - Centos-release-7-2.1511.el7.centos.2.10.x86_64
# journalctl _SYSTEMD_UNIT=sshd.service | grep "Failed" and I get these logs. Could it be related to these alarms ?
pam_systemd(sshd:session): Failed to create session: Failed to activate
service 'org.freedesktop.login1': timed out
pam_systemd(sshd:session): Failed to create session: connection time out

Re: os problem
first of all update your CentOS
update systemd first and reboot then yum -y update

Re: os problem
This is 4 years old and unpatched and riddled with security updates along with less severe bugs. Thousands of them. Run yum update and get up to date ASAP.ı run this command - Centos-release-7-2.1511.el7.centos.2.10.x86_64
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
