yum-cron not working as desired

Post by bluegroper » 2019/09/26 23:24:30

Hi forum
I have a small server updated to CentOS Linux release 7.7.1908
Also installed yum-cron a long time ago.
Now it has started giving errors
Not using downloaded updates/repomd.xml because it is older than what we have:
Current : Thu Sep 26 22:31:21 2019
Downloaded: Thu Sep 19 04:37:30 2019
But when I run yum update from the cli, it completes as expected.
No packages marked for update
TIA's for any clues how to fix this unwanted error.
I'm not a complete idiot. There's still a few pieces missing.

These hourly error messages by email have become irritating.
Will disable this service (or the error messaging) until there's a fix. :(

Try sudo yum clean all
