Yesterday I made some YUM updates to packages that I, unfortunately, don't recall .. When booting my CentOS 7 (Kernel: 3.10.0-229.20.1.el7.x86_64) today, the login screen didn't show up! .. I rebooted and did (Ctrl+Alt+F1) .. the boot continued till it froze after showing the following:
[OK] Started Virtualization Daemon.
So, what could be the issue and how to solve it?
CentOS 7 booting stops after starting virtualization daemon
Re: CentOS 7 booting stops after starting virtualization dae
Start in rescue mode and have a look at the boot logs from the previous boot.
Re: CentOS 7 booting stops after starting virtualization daemon
I have the identical situation.
Nothing in boot logs that gives any additional information.

Please don't necro 6 year old threads
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
