Computer locks up on Network Settings or Settings

Post by Edubuntu » 2015/04/28 16:25:26

I just installed the workstation version with GNOME, and while in the installation I was able to connect to my Wi-Fi, but after booting up for the first time I wasn't connected and every time I simply click on the Network Settings my computer locks up.
And I was just thinking if the same thing would happen in the regular settings and it did. Not quite sure what is going on, but I am thinking a possible problem with my network driver. The only way I get it out of the state is with the good old power button...

Thanks in advance for help. Let me know if you guys need me to try to pull any logs or give you any info.

Edit: I am new to CentOS but I have used Ubuntu and Debian which also needed some tweaking before they were working properly.
Edit2: Actually I think it is a kernel problem, I was looking through logs and found that I am getting :Bug lockup - CPU#4 stuck for 22s! [Xorg:2594]
