Just installed CentOS 7.
When I go to System Tools -> Software and click on one of the software categories like "Databases"
I don't get any software listing on the right hand side. Am I supposed to?
I can surf the internet just fine, so my network connection to the internet can't be the problem.
Thanks!

Re: System Tools->Software are the empty categories
Are all the repos disabled?
Check the Software->Software Sources->Software Sources.
Make sure CentOS-7-Base and CentOS-7-Updates are checked.

Re: System Tools->Software are the empty categories
Thank you.
Your message helped.
The trick I was missing was I first need to click under "Software Sources" the "CentOS-7 - Base" for example, then click on a category above like "Web Services".
I was just clicking on "Web Services" and other categories at first.

I have exactly the same problem as you have described initally. After clicking on one of the sources I'll get a whole list of packages but there are non of them in the categories. CentOS 7 installed on VirtualBox and on a computer behind a proxy. Proxy settings are set in the yum config file.

Having the same problem. No tricks work. Categories remain empty.
