Post by fmslick » 2014/07/24 08:31:47

New install (CentOS-7.0-1406-x86_64-Minimal) no update or anything, try to run the command ifconfig and a few others and all i see is command not found.. WHAAA?? :o so I dig in the /sbin and don't see anything for ifconfig too. .. Am I just brain dead or did i miss something here?

The man page for ifconfig in el6 has stated that the command is deprecated for years and the package that contains it is no longer installed by default. If you need it then yum install net-tools
CentOS 6 will die in November 2020 - migrate sooner rather than later!

CentOS 5 is dead, do not use it.
