What are the recommended hardware requirements (Ram & Disk Space) for CentOS?
I basically want to use it for dial-up internet access.

I was trying CentOS6.5 and ended needing >1GB so Kdump would not fail to work.
Also CentOS seems slow/sluggish to respond, but these may be due to my trying CentOS in the vmWorkstation environment.

You don't need kdump.
C7 needs more RAM then C6.
