Before I proceed to updating to this kernel, I need to find out if I need to un/re-install ATI drivers aftewards or anything since I installed ATI. It's been awhile since I installed ATI for me to remember that it was kernel specific -had to edit uname -r to some files before 'make'ing the ATI driver package. I am still green to linux, have yet to grasp the module/kernel intricasies and I just don't know what to expect after this kernel update after I got everything to work correctly minus synaptic/alps. But I gather that it is a kernel with numerous security updates/crash fixes per Red Hat Security Advisory. Thank you!

I do not have ATI, but for NVIDIA you must reinstall the driver...so it should be the same usually those drivers install kernel modules, that need to be recompiled.

To be sure just backup your xorg.conf
