Screen Blanking

Post by sifukurt » 2005/10/07 19:52:33

I have a CentOS install that I am using as a central monitoring station. I have power management and screen savers disabled, but after a few minutes of inactivity, the screen blanks. I did a little googling on the subject and I thought I found the answer. Someone else had exactly the same problem and the response was "setterm -powersave off -blank 0 -store". However, when I try this, this is the response I get:

# setterm -powersave off -blank 0 -store
cannot (un)set powersave mode

Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

Just add '/usr/bin/setterm -blank 0' as last line in /etc/rc.local.
