Where to get s390 build?

I am trying to find the s390 (System/Z) build of CentOS so I can IPL it in the Hercules emulator. Very little information on this seems to exist. The How-To I found discussed Red Hat 7 and was from 2002!

I tried to download the 4.7 build of CentOS for s390. (Is 4.7 the last version that has been built for s390?)

None of the mirror sites has the s390 ISO image.

There is a torrent, but it is completely dead. No seeds.

What is the difference between "s390" and "s390x"? I assume there's a readme in the ISO that tells, but I can't find any information about what the difference in these two builds is.

I'm also wondering if s390 development with CentOS + Hercules dead? I am looking for a proof-of-concept that some code I have would build and run before I could justify the alternative (RHEL on System/Z hardware).

You may want to join the centos-devel mailing list. There has been some activity on the s390 front. For example:

http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-devel/2009-May/004604.html

http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-devel/2009-March/004179.html

FYI, s390 is the 31-bit OS. s390x is the 64-bit version.
