Unable to install from USB CD

Post by AkosPrime » 2006/12/07 18:28:07

Hello,

I'm trying to install the x86_64 version of CentOS on a Penguin Altus 1600 machine that does not have an internal cd or dvd drive.

The ISOLINUX boots just fine, but the initial installation cannot find the USB drive. I have chosen the usb-storage driver from the list of drivers provided but it still cannot find the drive.

Now, the interesting thing is that the 32-bit version of CentOS does *NOT* have this problem. It boots from ISO, prompts for a driver, I choose usb-storage, it finds the drive and installs merrily.

So, can someone tell me what the problem is and how to resolve it?

Thanks,

Tony
