Hi,

I just got a new server loaded with CentOS 4.3 x86-64 and tried issuing 'yum update' to go to 4.4 but nothing happened. =P
Any ideas? Thanks.

First try; yum update yum-2.4.3 comps-4.4CENTOS-0.20060828

If that fails then download both of these rpm packages to someplace where they are the only rpm packages;

http://isoredirect.centos.org/centos/4.4/os/x86_64/CentOS/RPMS/comps-4.4CENTOS-0.20060828.x86_64.rpm
http://isoredirect.centos.org/centos/4.4/os/x86_64/CentOS/RPMS/yum-2.4.3-1.noarch.rpm

Do a test install as root by typing something like; rpm -Uvh *.rpm --test

Add any required packages to the same place and test install again until you have what is needed, then really install all the packages (remove the switch --test from the command) and then try updating again; yum update
