How to test WEBHOST

Post by naruponk » 2007/05/03 09:19:01

Hi, all

I'm new to CentOS and I just install CentOS 4.4.
I have no real IP this time, Can I publish to be webhost on internet?
If not can I use to be webhost to use in local?
How can I test that is my HTTP server run properly or not?
I type http://localhost in web browser but It can't connect to HTTP server
Do I misstake anything?

Thanks for advance :-)

Thanks man :-D

But I got this error

Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 117 of /etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl.conf:
SSLCertificateFile: file '/etc/httpd/conf/ssl.crt/server.crt' does not exist or is empty

How to solve this?

You can create a self-signed SSL Certificate for testing purposes:

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/ssl/ssl_faq.html#selfcert

And then copy or move 'server.crt' to '/etc/httpd/conf/ssl.crt/server.crt',
and then copy or move 'server.key' to '/etc/httpd/conf/ssl.key/server.key'.

That might help.
