SSH Idle time

Post by ashokjp » 2006/04/26 11:11:12

sshd idle time shows in days even though i have logged in right now
i mean it never shows a value of seconds
it just says either 2 days idle or 3 days idle when the user has just logged in or logged in a day back
login as: root
root@207.210.108.37's password:
Last login: Wed Apr 26 10:41:28 from 220.226.190.237
root@host04 [~]# w
10:57:13 up 15:43, 2 users, load average: 0.15, 0.13, 0.09
USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT
root ttyp1 86.82.d12c.cidr. 03:40 3days 0.01s 0.01s -bash
root ttyp2 220.226.190.237 10:57 3days 0.00s 0.00s w
root@host04 [~]# w
10:57:48 up 15:44, 2 users, load average: 0.08, 0.12, 0.09
USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT
root ttyp1 86.82.d12c.cidr. 03:40 3days 0.01s 0.01s -bash
root ttyp2 220.226.190.237 10:57 3days 0.00s 0.00s w
220.226.190.237 is the ip logged in and typed "w" in shell in less than 3 seconds
so its idle time should be 0.0 sec instead of 3 days/

wats the issue ?

i am running
CentOS 4.2
VPS 384 ram
linux/cpanel
Open SSHD
