IPtables rules get reset

Post by syd_bllyne » 2006/10/28 05:36:47

I have installed Centos 4.3 Server Edition on a number of servers. The problem I face is that the iptables rules get deleted every 15 -20 minutes. This is a problem becoz the rules configured on the server get deleted. Could sumone help me ???? I'm in a fix. Never faced this problem with Redhat 9. I am in the process of upgrading to CentOS 4.3 Server Edition. Can't understand why the iptables firewall rules get cleared on it's own and the two or three rules configured disappear

Awaiting for sum1 to help me out..

This will do your trick
# service iptables save
Saving firewall rules to /etc/sysconfig/iptables: [ OK ]
