Samba System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied.

I'm having problems with samba, when trying to map a drive using:

net use s: \\server\share\ /USER:user password

It gives me this error:

System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied.

It works fine if I use windows explorer, and browse for it, but I can't appear to use it via windows cmd as I am getting the above error.

This means the username and password is correct, and the firewall is configured correctly.

I have no idea what else it could be...

Server is Centos4.4, Client is Windows XP Pro SP2.

Thanks.

Additional note:

I found somewhere mention of adding:

nt acl support = no

To the [global] section of my /etc/samba/smb.conf then used service smbd restart

however, this didn't solve the problem.
