nfs locking problem
nfs locking problem
I thought I'd posted this already, but don't see it: we've got a Centos 4.6 system with user directories nfs mounted on an older network appliance file server. I'm not sure which update it happened on, as only a few people have complained about it, but in the last few months, we've been seeing issues with "ENOLCK (No locks available)" whenever a lock is attempted on a file over nfs. I'm suspicious that centos has updated to a newer locking protocol than the netapp supports (NetApp Release 6.5.4; the hardware isn't supported on newer versions), but thought I'd double check here on the off chance there was a workaround... Thanks!
Re: nfs locking problem
This does not seem to be an nfs version issue --- I created a test centos 5 nfs file server, mounted a directory from it, and ran into exactly the same problem. I'm wondering now if there's something not enabled that needs to be?
