Cannot Connect to Internet

Post by micah_moe » 2007/08/16 03:08:31

Installed CentOS 4.4

Did not use DHCP

Am able to SSH into the box.

Am able to successfully ping other network computers and router.

Cannot connect to internet via web browser.

The blue CentOS network icon is grayed out.

Please advise....

You need to set your default gateway.
man route ( route add default gw xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx )
Edit /etc/sysconfig/network and edit the GATEWAY line
or rerun netconfig.
